About Sacred White Sage Smudge Sticks
The Sacred White Sage bundled into smudge sticks (shown in pictures here) were gathered very respectfully. After prayer and ritual, the plants were harvested and blessings asked for those who will use it so that their prayers will be heard in a good way.
The plants were carefully and lovingly pruned to ensure continued and fuller growth for the future.
The Sacred White Sage featured here are organic, meaning they were grown without the use of artificial pesticides & fertilizers, chemicals, ionizing radiation or additives.
How The Native American Tribes Prepare Before Harvesting The Sacred White Sage?
The Shaman consults The Great Spirit for the appropriate time and place to begin the sacred fire ritual, and also when harvesting and gathering can begin. There will be those in the tribe whom The Great Spirit will bless, and allow to do the actual work of harvesting and gathering. These are the chosen ones for that year.
At the appointed time in the morning (between 4am to 6am), the sacred fire circle forms, and the tribe gathers. At the heart of this spiritual gathering is the sacred fire that carries the tribe's prayers to the spiritual realms. Women during their moontime (monthly period) are requested to avoid participating, and entering the inner circle of the sacred fire. The reason is: Women are spiritually very powerful and open during this time.
During this ritual, there will be morning prayers, drumming, pipe ceremony and/or teachings from the elders. The elders share what they know, and have experienced with the tribe.
How Are The Sacred White Sage Harvested By The Native American Tribe?
The chosen individuals MUST approach the Sacred White Sage plant with utmost respect. They ask the plant for permission. They speak to the plant of the parts they will need from the plant, the powers they wish to draw from the plant and the purpose for the parts and the power that comes with it.
When they receive agreement from the plant, they give the plant some time to prepare itself before harvesting begins. As they harvest, they must be mindful of their state of being as that will have an effect on the power of the finished incense.
What Is Smudging?
Through thousands of years of exploration and learning, wise women and men have come to know that certain types of plants have specific effects when used as incense. Incense simply means consecrated smoke, or smoke offering.
The smoke of some plants can purify and clean (objects, places and people) spiritually. Then there are those that can assist with invoking spirits. Another range can heal, while others will carry your prayers to the spiritual realms. The amazing fact is that people on continents worlds apart agree on which plants have which effects.

The Omaha * used the leaves in a tea for bathing and used the powdered leaves to stop nosebleeds. |

White Sage was perhaps the most important ceremonial plant of the Cheyenne . The Cheyenne used the Sacred White Sage in their Sun Dance and Standing Against Thunder ceremonies. |

Hi Timotheus,
Thank you for introducing the Sacred White Sage bundles to me. It has proven to be of great help to my family and me. We would sincerely like to thank you for the "peaceful" life that we could enjoy again.
There were times when my family and I could feel the presence of some entities at our home. We felt the coldness running down our spines when we walked to certain part of the house (normally the darker areas due to the design of the flat). My mum had mentioned that she saw dark shadows running across the rooms. And that's when my family started to fall sick or have disputes that became more frequent. Recently, my dad had car accidents, twice within a month that caused some serious cash expenses. Thank heavens he was not hurt.
After burning the Sacred White Sage at my home and in his car, things became better: my work and our lives again. Even my parents noticed it. In fact, we don't feel that "coldness" anywhere in the house anymore. Life is happy and peaceful again for my family.
I didn't realized how powerful the Sacred White Sage is until things got desperate and I started using it more often.
Please continue to bring in the Sacred White Sage. I personally would like to use it for long run. Part of the reason is I could feel that my career is moving towards the direction that I've been praying for as I intend while burning the Sacred White Sage.
